1. What is the pattern of the exam?

AnsThe entrance examination will have following papers:

Paper - 1 : It would comprise of physics and Chemistry each with equal  weightage containing 150 objective type   questions   ( 4 options  with  single correct answer). Each question would carry four marks.

This paper would be of 2 hours and 30 minutes’ duration.

Paper - 2 : It would comprise of mathematics containing 75 objective   type  questions ( 4 options with single correct answer). Each question would carry four marks.

This paper would be of 1 hour and 15 minutes’ duration.

2. I will be appearing for my board exam in this year. Am i  eligible to sit for CBSE AIEEE?

Ans: Yes, minimum academic qualification for admission to Engineering Degree Programmes through All India Engineering Entrance Examination is a pass in 10 + 2 Senior Secondary Examination or its equivalent referred to as a qualifying examination with a minimum aggregate of 50 % marks in Physics, Chemistry and mathematics. Those appearing in the 1 0 + 2 final or equivalent examinations may also appear in AIEEE for consideration of provisional admission. But they shall not be eligible for admission to Engineering Degree Programmes if they do not pass the qualifying examination with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

3. Which all institutions I can get admitted to?

Ans: This year many other institutions – Central Universities / Deemed Universities, National Institutes of Technology and other institutions like Army Institute of Technology, Pune, are expected to admit students through AIEEE. Open seats in state level institutions are also expected to be filled through this Examination in terms of their own reservation policy/domicile requirement. States / UTs would have option either to join AIEEE or continue with their existing arrangements for admission to state seats in state level institutions.

4. Is there any negative marking?

Ans: For each correct response for objective type question, the candidate will get four marks. For each incorrect response one mark will be deducted from the total score. No deduction from the total score will, however, be made if no response is indicated for a question in the answer sheet. More than one answer indicated against a question will be deemed as incorrect response and will be negatively marked

5.What is difficulty level of AIEEE?

Ans: AIEEE demands conceptual clarity and the reasoning ability of the student. Since the exam is conducted on ‘All India’ basis. Students are expected to realise that every additional mark matters. Students are expected to be extremely vigilant and very conscious of time management.
